Book Excerpt
“Hello! Hi there! How’re you?”
Felicity jerked at the unexpected voice as someone new fluttered to the window.
Her eyes widened as another sparrow, a male, landed beside her, a broad grin on his beak.
“Watcha doing?” he asked, fluttering his feathers, and tipping his head to look at her.
Felicity glared at him, her frame stiffening.
“None of your business!” she chirped. “I’m on an important mission, and I don’t want any distractions right now!”
“Um…”
“I don’t care for town sparrows. They’re rude!”
“But I’m not a rude sparrow!” The other sparrow pouted. “In fact, I…”
“Goodbye!”
With a scowl, she turned away, and peered back through the window.
