by Elizabeth Los
Adult Fantasy
Paperback, 506 Pages
May 9 2014

Spawned from an ancient promise, treachery and intrigue follow the protagonists through our world and one lost to the waves. Bound by an invisible bond, they are thrust into a fantastical world of pirates and demons.

James Benedict is a just man haunted by evil. Pushed to the edge, everything stripped from him, a new man arises . . . a man whose name strikes fear into the hearts of all who hear it: "Captain Hook".

Eileen Davis was a timid woman. Through a fateful cruise she finds herself in the company of the Captain of the Mistral Thief. With his guidance, and the meddling of the local barista, she eventually finds her inner strength.

Will the two of them unite through time to fulfill the promise of their ancestors or will tempers ignite leading all to failure?

True love's magic is not to avoid changes,
But to navigate them successfully.

About Elizabeth Los

I began writing fan fiction short stories in 2010 as means of escape. Every night, after ten hours of work and once the children were finally tucked in bed, for the fifth time, I would sit at my laptop and let my imagination flow through my fingers. Typing over eighty words per minute, my stories quickly began to form from novellas into full length novels. I used writing as my therapy, my release for stress.

Author Interview with  All That’s Written

Given the choice, would you prefer a tropical beach, or snowy mountains?
Well, that’s a tough choice! I LOVE the beach, probably the California girl in me. But I also really love gloomy, chilly weather. Still, thinking about the pros and cons of both, I think I’d grow tired of the snowy mountains. Ultimately though I love the water, so my final answer...a tropical beach.

What is your idea of a fun night out?
I love going out for a dinner and later coffee. Every month or so, I’m able to do this with a friend of mine. It’s a nice break from the responsibilities of being a mother. While the children are asleep, we sit in The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, talking

Is there any food or beverage that is a constant factor in either your books or life?
For life? Water. I always have an insulated cup next to me while working and writing. There is a lot of water in Second on the Right, but then again this is a story with pirates, so water is a given, right? But with the pirates in SotR, especially Captain Benedict, I believe the preferred beverage is rum.

What is your favourite dish and can you give me the recipe?
Tea Cakes, a southern style cookie recipe from a lady I used to consider as an adopted Grandma.

Is there anything you don't like about being an author?
Talking about myself ;)   That’s not to say I don’t enjoy discussing Second on the Right and the characters in the story. I welcome any questions, comments or discussion involving my novel. But questions about myself? Ugh.

And finally can you tell me something none has ever heard before from you? I just love those little dirty secrets, real or make believe. :-)
You can decide if this is real or make believe…

As a child (perhaps age five or six), I used to plan my night’s out. I’d pile boxes or any other objects I could find outside my bedroom window. Once night had fallen and my family was asleep, I would quietly slide my chair to the window, crank it open, expertly remove the screen and sneak outside. Nights that I truly loved to do this were those when it rained. I would play and dance under the drizzle or rainfall with my dogs. Eventually a giggle would escape from me and I’d be caught, sentenced to return to my bed.

  1. Two main points of being a pirate is 1. spending life on sea (not my cup of tea), 2. stealing stuff (frankly, I just couldn't do that). So no (:
    Thanks for the giveaway!
