We tried our very first memory foam pillow this week, so many people have been recommending these to us that we thought it was time we finally tried them out. What I especially liked about this one from ExceptionalSheets on Amazon was the increased ventilation in the pillow allowing the air to circulate more. My youngest gets really hot during the night, even in the winter, so I always look for any cooling down method now when buying pillows and bedding. I've got to tell you that the cover itself on these pillows is just so soft to the touch (see picture below).

I chose the high loft pillow, recommended for side sleepers. Normally I sleep with two pillows, have done for years, so when I first tried the memory foam pillow, without thinking I put it on top of my older pillow. I knew within minutes that I couldn't sleep like that because it was too high, so I was a little apprehensive to remove the bottom pillow and just sleep with the memory foam one. Yet my head gently sank into the memory foam and my head, neck and shoulders actually felt fully supported, yes just with one pillow! Although saying that it is the high loft version. I slept all night and in the morning felt great, no aches at all.

I've never tried memory foam anything before - it's always seemed like a bit of a strange concept!
