Joe Hilton is a full-time NHS worker and self-professed ‘ordinary’ guy who has used his experiences and the principles laid out in this book start to lead a more fulfilling life, with a healthier mindset.
While Joe has not had to overcome any life-changing adversity, he has suffered with his mental health as he tried to find his path and, as a result, he invested many hours into his own personal growth and wants to share that knowledge with others. Addressing topics such as gaining control of your life, finding yourself and dealing with doubt, this book can be read cover-to-cover or dipped into on a chapter-by-chapter basis. But make sure you have a pen handy as there’s lots of room to make your own notes.

Joe Hilton is a full-time NHS worker and self-professed ‘ordinary’ guy. In the follow up to his original book ‘The book that became my counsellor’ A Joe Bloggs guide to better wellbeing, this shorter guide focuses in on the topics of ‘passion’ and ‘purpose’ again offering practical advice for helping the reader to live with more fulfilment, this time in both work and life. “Help me find my passion” is a phrase googled half a million times each month, which suggests that it is a topic at the forefront of a lot of people’s minds. This guide addresses topics such as ‘flow state’ ‘intrinsic and extrinsic motivation’, ‘assessing your priorities’, ‘finding meaning’ and more, it even questions whether ‘finding’ your passion is at all possible. Written in an informal manner with space to make your own notes, the author hopes you will leave with some personal tools to start building your own positive future.
