Mefford is crazy like a fox. Throughout this series he has left breadcrumbs for the reader to gather so that by the finale we're on the edge our seat with anticipation, some terror, and outright disbelief. And we love it. Not only the main characters, but the unexpected crossover characters, the plot twists and the heart wrenching outcomes that make us yearn for the next installment.
This book is the same, especially with Ivy's final predicament (no spoilers). I'm already missing these characters; however, with Mefford's gift for crossover, I'm sure we'll meet them again in some capacity.
