BOOK TOUR & Giveaway - Booker: Streets of Mayhem by John W Mefford (Booker #1)

NEW RELEASE....
On a cool October afternoon, the majestic blue sky above Dallas is polluted with swells of gray smoke, carrying shattered memories of fifteen people, mostly children, who've just been killed by an explosion on a bus.

A white supremacist group claims responsibility, opening old wounds, turning neighbor against neighbor--fracturing the community. A Southeast Dallas native, Booker T. Adams couldn't be more invested in the city…in the people he'd served for the last seven years as a beat cop for the Dallas Police Department. Without warning, it becomes personal for Booker on so many levels. And as panic grips the city, he must decide how much he's willing to sacrifice to end the chaos.

With his career called into question and his family in the crosshairs of one terrorist act after another, Booker invests every fiber of his being to protect a broken community, and to stop the brutal, senseless slayings.

If he fails, terrorism will reign in the city of Dallas.

About the Author
A veteran of the corporate wars, former journalist, and true studier of human and social behavior, best-selling author John W. Mefford has been writing novels since he first entered the work force twenty-five years ago, although he never put words on paper until late 2009.

John writes novels full of intrigue, suspense, and thrills, but they also evoke an emotional connection with the characters.

When he’s not writing, he chases three kids around, slaves away in the yard, reads, takes in as many sports as time allows, watches all sorts of movies, and continues to make mental notes of people and societies across the land.

John lives in Frisco, Texas with his beautiful wife, three opinionated kids, and a feisty fat cat who rules the world.

  1. Oooo If I were a cop there is so many things I would want to do but in my area it is pretty safe after from all the people who don't pick up the dog poo! Does that count? lol

  2. If I were a cop, I would work hard to improve my investigative skills. I hope that counts. Thank you for the giveaway.

  3. If I were a cop, I would work hard to make playgrounds and parks safer for kids and families

  4. If I were a cop, I would work on addressing homelessness in the area - making sure that the community is safe for everyone including the homeless.

  5. Sounds like a pretty cool book to me, where a fast pace and a lot of action could make it good!

  6. If I was a beat cop the first thing I would try and improve in my area would have to be homelessness.

  7. If I were a cop I would put an end to people having loud music going at 3am

  8. If I were a cop in my area I would want to help reduce these kids meeting in places to fight and film it to put on social media. This is an issue hitting my area hard.

I would try to improve the drug situation here. It's out of control.

  10. If I were a cop I would solve some old cases that hadn't been looked at in years.

  11. I would work on controlling loud parties/music going on late at night and people blasting their car stereos so loud you can hear them a mile away!

  12. I would control the out of control older kids who think they're adults over by the schools.

  13. If I were a cop, I would try to expose any racism in the department.

  14. My area is rural, so a beat cop is really a sheriff's deputy cruising around. Probably the best way to improve things would be to really get to know the people who live here, rather than just waiting to be called in an emergency.

  15. I'd try to improve the youth bullying and violence situation around my city -- it's getting way out of control!
