Q: You are a matchmaker -- your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?

Help, totally stuck on this one !!! How about Oliver Twist with Super Born hero, then he wouldn't have to go hungry and steal !! He would have an amazing time flying through the sky rescuing all sorts of people in distress, what a different story that would be than the original.!! Thats the best I can do this week sorry :-(

Ok maybe it is not what I'm supposed to put as its a little biased but my favourite post of all this week has to be my own purely down to Stephen King being such a trooper !! He has made the decision for have his next book purely in printed edition, yay!!! As you all know I am quite passionate about not loosing books forever, hence my Keeping Real Books Alive FB group, so apologies in advance but this has to be my best ever post this week and WELL DONE STEPHEN KING !!

My Book Vow

I will continue to treasure my books every day

To admire them all on display

There gilted titling on colourful covers and spines

There beautiful designs that seem to come to life

To cherish my most precious book

To hold it in my hands and connect to the story and characters

Escaping into another world as

You gently turn each page

Feeling the books own unique history

The smell of the old pages and print

Books are our history, present and our future

We were reading a book the other day and laughed out loud when we realised we could of been reading about ourselves or any other bookseller for that matter, we thought you might enjoy the little snippet....

However dull and dingy the shop may have appeared in the eyes of most people, to one person it was the most delightful spot on earth, and that person was none other than the owner of this collection of literature, some of which was remarkable for its antiquity if nothing else.

Bartholomew Stranges whole world was in his shop, beyond it he had no ambition, no affection, no desires. He loved his books simply for their own sakes, not for what he got by them, indeed it cost him such a pang to part with them, that if it had not been a necessity he would have refused to do so. Often if anyone wished to purchase a favourite book he would put a large price on it so as to keep it in his own possession, and be willing to wear the scantiest clothes, and live on the plainest food, if by this means he could keep his precious treasures.....
