Home for the Holidays Book Reading Challenge 2011

This is what she writes:
Christmas is just around the corner. Can you
believe that? Where has this year gone? If you are a book lover as I am, you
know that with the new season comes a whole new throng of holiday books. New
releases abound, and for the minutes or hours that we read the books we seem to
get lost inside the pages enjoying the magic of the holiday season through the
eyes of our favorite characters. And it is because of my love for holiday books
that I am having a Home for The Holidays Book Challenge. And I am hoping you
will join me during this lovely season and take on the challenge of reading your
favorite holiday books as well as some new ones. The rules are very
simple:
1. The start of the challenge is November 28, the Monday after Thanksgiving, because after all the Christmas season does not kick off until the Macy's Santa Claus makes his appearance on Thanksgiving Day ;-) And we will end on 31 December.
2. You can read as many books as your little heart desires, but we are asking that you read from 1-5 books. I can tell you though, that I normally love reading Christmas books.
3. And of course, it is the Christmas season, so the books have to be related to the holidays. Whether you call it Christas or Hanukkah, make sure it is holiday related.
4. If you are reading a holiday book for another challenge or review, it is ok to include them as part of your challenge. Genre is up to you; read whatever you enjoy reading. If you are like me, there are books that you read every holiday season and that have become a family tradition. Those are acceptable also for the challenge.
5. If you want to participate:
Write a challenge post on your blog, and leave me a link - click here. I will set up a
main linky where everyone can see who is participating and where they can follow
along.
- At the end of every week, you must post a review of the books you read during the week. I will also set up weekly linkies where you can link up your reviews click here.
- What is a book challenge without gifts?! At the end of every week, I will choose one of the reviews as a winner, and you will get... you guessed it?! More books! So, that will be a book giveaway every week click here.
When it
comes to holiday books my favorites are Christmas romances and Christian books,
and with the amount of books out there it was hard to decide. However, I
managed and here are my books for this challenge:
What do you say? Won't you join me and have some fun?
Well here is my reading challenge, yes its only 1 book as I have comitted myself to a few review books. This has been sitting on my shelf for ages now and everytime I look at it makes me smile, I have been wanting to read this since I bought it.
