Day 1 of our Renewal Anytime Detox, wish me luck ;-)

You will have noticed over the last couple of weeks we have been hosting Lisa Consiglio's Renewal "Anytime" 10 day detox book,  I read this while we were on holiday and had planned to start it last weekend but due to illness had to postpone and now we're finally here on Day 1.

Both hubbie and I are starting the detox today, I will admit I am a little nervous but really excited at the same time.  Lisa's approach and experienced guidance in the book really does fill you with confidence.  She advices you to journal your thoughts during the detox, don't worry I won't be doing this every day but it will work as my motivation.  I have wanted to do a 'REAL' detox for a long time now, you know the dream one of going somewhere hot with professionals pampering to your every needs just like the tv programme, well that's dreamland so I guess we will have to go with reality!

We set off on Saturday to do our shop for Days 1-5, starting off at Holland & Barrett for as much of the natural organic produce as we could find as well as the vitamins that Lisa recommends using whilst on the detox.  I am determined that if I am going to do this then I am going to do it fully or not at all to get the maximum result (hopefully).  Next stop was the supermarket for everything else on the list, including the body brush for daily dry brushing, yes it's not all about food on this detox. Now everything is bought there is no backing away from the commitment, fingers crossed all goes well!!

On the menu today....
Day One
Breakfast: Sun + Shine Smoothie
Mid-Morning Snack: 1 apple with 1 Tbsp. raw almond butter
Lunch: Watercress Salad
Mid-Afternoon Snack: carrot, zucchini, and red pepper slices with Spinach Dip
Dinner: Lucky Soup

  4. Good luck with your detox! I've never done one before; however, I did change my eating style at the beginning of the summer and lost 23 lbs.
