Minecraft is hitting the bookshelves!!

'Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition' screenshot

If your children, like mine, love playing the game Minecraft then here's some news for you and perhaps a stocking filler for them (but maybe for 2013).  London based Egmont Publishing have bought the publishing rights for a book and magazine deal.  There are over 40 million registered gamers so you can imagine how big this can be.

If you didn't know Minecraft is a virtual social gaming experience using 'lego style' blocks to build and craft almost anything with the added problem of monsters.  You need to maintain your health, hunger and survive.  Played alone or other the web with friends.   I'm not very good at it but I am still getting tutored from my 11 year old son !!

  1. My kids are obsessed with the free demo version. I haven't sprung for the pay version yet. They'll be so excited about a book!!!

  2. All 4 of my kids play, ages 18, 13, 11, and 8. They are freaking obsessed with this game and beg me all the time to play. I don't like the monsters and get nervous around them. lol My kids will be so excited! I may be able to finally get them to read something without me begging them! lol
